World Cup

Starting with simple international one-game-events back in 2005 and followed by huge events by organizations Kiekkoradio, Spectator and 3League, the time has come for another eagerly anticipated Kiekko World Cup. This time the tournament will bear a name of Kiekko World Cup VI – the sixth full-sized World Cup in Kiekko's history.

Instructions for creating a game room

• Home team will create the game room by typing this message: /msg tilastot !wc opponent
• Example 1: Finland is playing against Slovakia, Finland is the home team. One player from Team Finland will type in /msg tilastot !wc Team Slovakia and will receive password for the game room in a few seconds and forward it to other players
• Games against Canada and USA are played on two servers, so the code for creating game room for these matches is different
• Example 2: Canada is playing against Slovakia, Canada is the home team. One player from Team Canada will type in /msg tilastot !wc Team Slovakia --9min and will receive password for the game room which has one period and 9 minutes of gaming time. This message works on NA server too

Instructions for adding a game 

• Adding a game is only possible to players who have rights to do it. Please ask the board to add those rights if you don't already have them
• On kiekko.tv/tournaments/wc you can find "Add game" button on the right side of the page. Click it and choose teams who are playing.
• Add players, player statistics, saves and possession percentages after the game. You can also write a game report if you want to (e.g. in which order the goals were scored and other details of the game. Games will be recorded automatically, so writing the report is not necessary)
• To avoid mix-ups, there should always be a person who is not playing serving as a "referee" who adds the game and keeps the audience in order
